Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming modern society, offering immense potential while raising significant ethical concerns. This paper reviews the existing literature and analyzes case studies to examine key ethical challenges in AI, including fairness, transparency, accountability, and bias. While research on AI ethics is growing, notable gaps remain. By exploring practical implications across diverse sectors, this paper highlights the urgent need for further research to address these challenges and ensure the ethical development and deployment of AI. We conclude with a proposed agenda for advancing the study of AI ethics.
