## Summary

In this cinematic mini doc, you will be at the edge of your seat learning about the history of the metaverse and what the future of it is going to look like. This is your comprehensive guide. We will go over the history of the metaverse (which yes, as a concept, does exist before Neal Stephenson’s Snow Crash), the early attempts of building a spatial internet, discuss the laws in privacy, agency and consumer protection in the current and future age of the internet, ethical design, and all the amazing things that have been already done with augmented reality and virtual reality and any form of mixed reality. While some people think that because Facebook’s or Meta’s stocks took a hit, the financial markets are all wobbly, crypto is going up and down like crazy, disastrous returns of old-fashioned imperialism are creeping on a supposedly matured world-society, the metaverse, or the future internet, won’t be made. But, the metaverse is going to happen. It’s not going to be what we imagine, but it will become a part of our lives however small a chunk it takes. Most importantly however, the metaverse or the future spatial internet, will be something that we help build.
